Well we are well and truly into season 2011 now and training is back to full steam ahead for the up coming Northern Hemisphere Spring/Summer of racing. Unfortunately our home town of Noosa and the whole state of Queensland has been constantly pounded by rain over the past few weeks so on boxing day Amanda and I made the decision to jump on a plane to the other side of Australia to the sun and warm of Perth. We are lucky we have Amanda's family over here in the west and a new years training camp was exactly what we needed to get back into the grove of a full training schedule. I have definitely missed the daily structure of training since my time off and to be filling my days with 5-6 hours of training is so much more satisfying than when your injured and not able to do a thing.
We have had some amazing weather with clear blue sky and temperatures regularly in the high thirties and even a few forty plus days, so it's actually been a great introduction to the temperature I will possibly face in my first event in Abu Dhabi.
