It's the day before the debut of Ironman Texas and I am currently laying in bed resting up for tomorrows big battle. The US$100,000 and 4,000 Kona Ranking Points have drawn one of the best Ironman fields of the year and I am really excited to be toeing the line tomorrow morning. There are several guys who have had multiple top ten finishes at the Hawaii Ironman in the line up including Chris Lieto, Eneko Llanos, Rutger Beke, Michael Lovato and Luke Bell. Tim O'Donnell is racing his much anticipated Ironman debut and I know he will be a big factor tomorrow.
Remember to stop by my new interactive live dashboard www.lukemckenzie.com/live which Amanda and MetaBender will try to keep up to date as the race progresses tomorrow. There are some awesome prizes to those that can predict the closest times to my swim, bike, run and finish times (over $1,000 worth!) So keep checking in to track me (via google map) see my data from the course (speed, elevation etc) and weather conditions.
Ironman Live (www.ironmanlive.com) is hosting a full video coverage of the race hosted by Greg Welch and Matt Lieto so check out both the sites through the day to follow my race.
