It's been a long year of traveling, training and racing around the world and Amanda and I couldn't be happier to be home in Australia for the summer. We have settled back into life in Noosa and have brushed the cobwebs off the bike and running shoes and gotten back into training. I must admit it's a bit of a struggle after a month off but we feel refreshed and ready to prepare for the 2010 season.
Last week we enjoyed 5 days over in Western Australia watching my sister Jacque race in Ironman Western Australia and seeing all of Amanda's family who live in Perth and the countryside of Western Australia.
Jacque had a great race in Busselton, doing her first Ironman in 18 months after a long lower back injury. She did a personal best time and finished 6th in her age group. We all had fun following her around the course and cheering her on.
