ROAD TRIP TO LOUISVILLE (Day 4-5) Boulder

The drive across Utah and Wyoming was pretty long an uneventful. We gained some solid altitude a some points reaching 8,000ft + on the Interstate! The trusty new turtle ate up the highway and we arrived in Boulder at 9am on Saturday morning (after a few hours sleep in Laramie, WY.
Not much going on out here!

Day four and five of the Louisville road trip stopped into Boulder, CO to visit and train with a bunch of our Aussie mates. We stayed with Greg and Laura Bennett who have just moved into their beautiful new house in North Boulder. Wow ... what a place! Awesome views over the Flatirons and Wonderland lake! My good mate Mathias Hecht from Switzerland is in town to train for Kona and we also caught up with Paul Matthews "Barney" for a ride. Belinda and Justin Granger put us through one last quality swim set before leaving town and we had a BBQ with Craig Alexander "Crowie" and his family not to mention a whole bunch of other friends from all different countries around the world.

Swim in Boulder ... feel the altitude a bit :)

Did a few training sessions while we were there. A nice easy Sunday morning run with the Benno's and Granger out at the "Res" and a few rides in the rolling farmlands out towards Hygiene and Lyons. Starting to ease down for Ironman Louisville so nothing too intense.

Didn't snap many pix in Boulder unfortunately! Must remember to do so for the rest of the road trip!
