TRAINING TO IRONMAN COEUR D'ALENE - DAY 6 BEND TO COEUR D'ALENE

Idaho sunset!
It's a tough view to wake up to each morning!

No training today ... just a solid 7 hour drive to Coeur d'Alene (CDA), Idaho. We arrived just outside CDA at out homestay Tom and Marie's house around lunch time. They have a gorgeous house on the Spokane river and we have a beautiful view down the river from our bedroom!

After lunch it was time to go into town and check it all out. We drove the new bike course which now included some very tough rolling hills. It is going to be a tough day in the saddle! Both the bike and run course take in parts of Lake Coeur d'Alene so the view isn't too bad at all.

The town itself is very nice with some great little cafes along the main street (very important!)

We have done it .... Just under 2000 miles of driving in 6 days with training along the way from San Diego, California to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. We did some awesome training. It is going to be great to be settled for at least a week before our next big drive :-)
