Started with an early morning swim with some of the crew that have been in Kona for a few weeks. Amanda, Belinda and Justin Granger, Jo Lawn & Armando, Charlotte, Crowie and Dirk were in the water before the masses assembled. We had a nice relaxed 1.2 mile swim to half way of the course.

We squeezed in a quick coffee with Belinda and Justin at our favorite coffee shop in town (Kopi Lani) and did an interview for our show "the Adventures of Jimmy & Memphis" with Belinda. We watched as a massive pod of dolphins swam right off the shore amongst the swimmers. We were also devastated to see we had missed the Coffees of Hawaii boat (with the Orange sail) as we swam too early!

Lastly it was off to registration to sign in for the race. I am #25 this year, in case you wanted to track me on race day :) I am going to have my friend take charge of my twitter account and keep it updated though out the race (Twitter name: lukemckenzie) so you will get a more personal update on my position and don't have to rely on www.ironmanlive.com

After our swim it was onto a few interviews including one with Triathlete Magazine.
