Day 2 in Phoenix and we are already into a nice routine. Up at 7am which was surprising after the long day and a half of travel yesterday. We were greated for breakfast by 3 very excited Sharpei's! Zoe, CC and Chase are the coolest dogs!
Matt and I put the bikes together and went for our first ride out amougst the Cactus. It was a beautiful morning, perfect weather for a spin in the desert. Obviously after a big day of travel we just rolled the legs over and soon found ourselves at our favorite post ride location... Starbucks!
We picked my trusty lil Plymouth Vouyager van from the storage facility after lunch and found that it started quiet easy (surprising since it sat there since September!) Didn't drive very far though till we realised we had another small problem. One of the rear tires that had been exposed to the sun during the time it was in storage had shredded so we limped it to the tire shop for a newy. We were back on the road beore we knew it and now we are mobile to get around Phoenix.
Went for a relaxed 3km swim at Scottsdale pool in the afternoon before a jog around the golf course out the back of Erics to cap off our first full day in Phoenix.
Seems like both Matt and I have recovered farely well from the flight over and have settled into our daily routine pretty easy.
We are still taking it easy tomorrow so we are going to watch an NBA game after lunch. Phoenix Suns v LA Lakers. First round of the NBA Western Conference finals, so should be good Basketball!
